British man arrested for counterfeit euro scam in Phuket

Tobias Drew, 33, a British national, was arrested in Phuket in February 2024 for exchanging counterfeit euros. He possessed 89 counterfeit 200-euro bills and other denominations, which he had exchanged for cryptocurrency. Drew entered Thailand in December 2023 and conducted fraudulent currency exchanges. He faces charges under Thai Penal Code with potential sentences up to 15 years in prison.
