Swiss bank robber arrested in Hua Hin

Gerber Enzo, 42, a Swiss national who robbed a bank in Bern stealing approximately 150 million baht (US$640,000), was arrested in Hua Hin on May 16, 2013, by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI). He had hidden in Thailand since March that year. Thai authorities seized a 5-million-baht house, 19 vehicles, bank accounts, and gold. Enzo was deported to Switzerland where he served 2.5 years. He later re-entered Thailand illegally and was arrested again in 2018 on Koh Samui for HIV transmission offences.
