Australian couple arrested for snatching belongings from Phuket tourists

On February 19, 2025, an Australian couple, Sam B. (25) and Susan A. (36), committed two bag-snatching robberies in Rawai, Phuket, using a rented Honda PCX motorcycle. At 9:30 PM they snatched a bag from tourists near 7-Eleven on Soi Samakkhi 4; at 10:29 PM they stole an iPhone 14 from a Russian woman near Rawai Beach. CCTV and rental records led to their arrest on February 21. Charged under Section 336 (robbery using a vehicle). Up to 5 years and 100,000 baht fine.
